Compared to earlier 2G phones with a download speed of up to 144Kbps, 3G mobile phones have transfer speeds of 3Mbps (. This means that while it would take you about 8 minutes to download a 3-minute song on a 2G phone, it would take you only 15 seconds to make the same download on a 3G phone. This opens up opportunities for 3G mobile phones to be used to download large multimedia files from the internet and send and receive large files at these 3G high data rates.  Over the last 10 years, the impact of wireless communications on how we live and do business has been undeniable. Wireless internet access has changed the world and the potential for wireless to further expand its boundaries is already being felt, thanks to its creators who are taking Wi-Fi technology to previously unexplored lengths.
Whether we are using our mobile phones or our Wi-Fi’d computers, the need to stay on and always connected has never been more essential. In fact proponents speculate that soon everything, our cars and home appliances will be too. As with the internet itself and the forces that have shaped it, wireless internet access has taken a shape that has emerged from the imaginative twists and turns that have been made possible by digital technology. As one magazine put it, ‘ Wi-Fi is itself a shining example of how wireless technology can shed the tethers of conventional wisdom.’ At one point, it was assumed that wireless internet access was only possible through the investment-heavy standards that giant corporations have adopted. However, this was not to be so.
Think about it, Wi-Fi came about when it was discovered that an unlicensed ‘junk band’ spectrum could be used for communication.  The Nintendo DS Lite is an excellent upgrade to the original Nintendo DS. It’s a smaller and prettier model with a thicker stylus, better-located microphone and retention of all of the DS’s great features. Some might be a little perturbed by the fact that the smaller size forces Game Boy Advance games to protrude from the system, but this is a small sacrifice for its many improvements.
North America waited for the Nintendo DS Lite with much anticipation. Everything always gets released in Japan first, obviously, but sometimes it seems like they get everything else better too. Some games are released in Japan but not in the U.S., Japanese games don’t suffer from bad dubbing, and when DS Lite made its debut in Japan, it was available in 3 colors: polar white, ice blue and enamel navy. Due to manufacturing problems, when DS Lite reached America it was initially only available in polar white.
But when it comes to Nintendo, the motto truly is, “Good things come to those who wait.” No doubt many Nintendo DS owners were dismayed when the Nintendo DS Lite upstaged their consoles. If you buy a new computer these days, chances are it comes preloaded with a program designed to protect the machine against viruses. You usually get either McAfee or Norton, both of which are system resource hogs that you probably need to renew with paid subscriptions after a year or two. Moreover, those two programs are notorious for causing computers to hang up or “freeze”, and for not flagging infections. These problems can be eliminated by opting for free antivirus software instead.
There are many websites out there that offer a large selection of free antivirus software that you can download now and install instantly. These programs are 100% free, and often there’s no need to buy anything or register with your email address. Sure, in many cases you’ll be asked to pay for a more sophisticated version that comes with lots of additional features, but obviously there’s no obligation to upgrade. Just stick with the free antivirus software that you originally downloaded, update the definitions when prompted to do so, and you’ll be fine.
While it’s great that open source or free antivirus software is readily available, how should you go about choosing one? They aren’t all of the same quality, nor do they possess the same capabilities, so this is an important point. I recommend reading reviews of any free antivirus software that you’re thinking of installing on your computer. You want to make sure that the program works at detecting all the viruses and spyware that your PC could become infected with, and that it’s effective at safely removing those threats once they have been flagged.  We live in something called the world of electronics. Okay, maybe I just coined that phrase, but it sounds legit, doesn’t it? I mean, think about it, we use machines and electronics for everything from ordering a pizza, to sending a letter. How did we ever exist without them? This is the prime reason why everyone should acquire some basic computer training. Think of all the jobs these days that require basic computer training. Better yet, ponder all the ones that don’t. It’s much easier. When my friends ask me why they need basic computer training, I remind them that Its always good to know a little bit about something you use every day. If you don’t, you always have to rely on someone else to help you.
My sophomore year of college, I took a class on computer fundamentals. I figured this would come in handy sooner or later, and especially after school. Well, it actually came in handy earlier than expected. Not long after the basic computer training course, I obtained a job where the skills were necessary. Even part-time high school and college jobs require basic computer training. I spent three years working for a video store chain. Most of the time I was on a computer. I bartended at a fancy hotel for a year. All money was handled through a computer system. Not many people use the old-school cash registers anymore.
